The Secret to Learning How to Relax

 

Have you ever been somewhere or in the middle of doing something and all of a sudden your or someone you know says “Stop”, I want to get off or make it stop.  Or maybe you were alone and seemed to not be able to quiet the chattering moneys in your mind telling you to do a million things.

Hi, My name is John C. Morley; AKA The Training doctor and if this has happened to you; your not alone.  Did you know that most people in our world today don’t know how to relax and wont choose to learn how until they see a dramatic change they don’t like and wanted to undo it.

Some people choose not to relax because they make excuses like I don’t have time; I have too many things to do, I don’t know how; I don’t want to lose control; etc and on and on.  Well, What I would like to do is show you how to relax; if this is something you truly want to know how to do.  Please note; you should not attempt any of these exercises while driving a car or anything that requires or sole attention to the safety of yourself or others such as operating heavy machinery, etc.  The entire contents are here so may feel comfortable about what is being said and also in our pod cast area; so you can truly relax.

 First, find a comfortable place either at home, work, or somewhere else where you can be alone and you will not be disturbed for about 15- 30 minutes.  Once you have this quiet spot make the choice that you want this time to be the most effective time for you, your body and your mind.  Thus, make sure you eliminate all distractions:  fwd or silence your phone, close your door and also tell those around you that you that you are working on something and can’t be disturbed for the next 30 minutes.

You may choose to either sit or lie down and get as comfortable as you can.  Now, I want you to notice how quiet and peaceful your area is now and becoming.  You may choose to want to look at ceiling or the pictures around you, the walls, feeling of your hands and legs against the chair or bed.  Or you may just want to focus on your breathing as you inhale relaxation and exhale tension.  Do this for as long as you would like and then when you feel ready and a little tired; just let your eyes close and notice how peaceful you are now and continuing to become.

Great, now as you become even more comfortable in your chair and just continue to relax as you notice your heart beat and the tension slowly draining out of your body.  Now I would like you to count backwards from 20 to one, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13 , 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2,1  and becoming much more relaxed..  Excellent, now I want you picture any stressful thoughts you still have and surround it with a bubble; just let it go.  Feel that bubble; just float away, and causing you become more and more relaxed.  With another thought, you surround it with a bubble and keep doing this and letting them float away, as your body becomes even more relaxed….

Now, count back with me slowly again, 10, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, great. now anytime you feel stress and tension simply listen to this track, practice these exercises until they become a part of you and you no longer need to listen to them and are able to carry them out your mind at anytime you desire.

Now, in a moment I’m going to count backwards from 10 -1 as I do I want you slowly imagine tranquility and peace filling you up 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.  Now in a moment Im going to count up from 1 -5 and at the count of five fully alert, refreshed, awake and much better then you felt before..You will have no ill effect what so ever in your head, no buzzing in your ears, no ill effect what so ever in your eyesight. Eyesight, vision and hearing will continue to improve everytime you function within these levels of the mind.

1, feel the energy coming up from your toes, 2 feel the energy coming up past your knees an into your thighs, 3 coming up past your abdomen area and lower chest, 3.5, coming up to upper chest and extending out through your shoulders, 4 coming into your arms, hands, up to neck, chin, face,5, eyes, open wide, awake, feeling totally relaxed and much better then you did before.
